Summary: Blue Sargent is the only non-psychic woman member of her giant, messy family. This means that when she hears one name at the church on St. Mark's Eve, Gansey, she knows with complete certainty that not only will he be dead within the year, but that she will either be his killer or his true love. When she meets Gansey and his friends a few weeks later, she is at first disappointed---they are pretentious and absurd, the epitome of students at all-boys private Aglionby Academy. But the more Blue learns about their eccentricities and their unceasing hunt for Glendower the lost Welsh king, the more she is pulled into a world of mystery and beautiful, tangible magic.
Thoughts:
This was a great re-read. I second all the thoughts I've outlined in other reviews, and maintain that this is a gorgeously written and deeply aesthetic summer book.
