Summary:
After the success of their first ritual, the six decide they want to recreate another one, this time for May Day. But while Poe’s decision that she will only be with Auden and St. Sebastian after they forgive each other is going well, sending them into their shared past and pain, the six are also starting to realize the history around Thornchapel and it’s rituals is more complex than they previously believed, and more dangerous.
Thoughts:
While struggling to care about the chemistry all that much in this book, I enjoyed it for how much the book taught me. Simone’s writing is beautiful, and she knows so much about so many different things. I’m not enamored with this series, but I think I’ll continue reading it just to see how it ends.
