Summary:
When Persephone is suddenly forced to accept a marriage proposal from the lecherous Zeus, she realizes just how much she hates upper Olympus, and does the only thing the can think of to get out: She runs to Hades. After narrowly escaping capture by some of Zeus's minions, she strikes a deal with Hades. Persephone will sleep with Hades, in the most public of ways, which will give Hades revenge and power over the man who killed his family. In turn, Hades agrees to protect Persephone for the three months until her 25th birthday, when she gets her inheritance and can escape Olympus all together. But Hades isn't what he seems, and their relationship becomes more and more personal as they work together. But their bargain is made, and their goals are safety and revenge at Zeus, nothing else.

Thoughts:
This was amazing. I was not expecting to like it as much as I did, but man did I. First of all, the consent. It was so freaking amazing. It was handled so thoroughly and nicely, just like in real life, even though fantasy romance usually ignores consent for some reason. Also, the relationship overall was perfect. It made me very happy. I'm not going to be able to read other books in the series, bc I hate romances involving siblings of the main character, but I do want to read other books by the author in other series.
