Summary:
Though their world has mostly come to terms with the idea of living side by side with aliens, Evie is still nervous about going to a club packed with them. After the club is raided and she drops her phone while while hiding from the police in uncomfortable proximity with a man named Luc, she has to return to the club, and to Luc. But Luc isn't quite alien, or quite human. As a series of brutal murders sweep through her town, Evie becomes closer with Luc ... and learns some some truths that make her doubt everything.

Thoughts:
This book was pretty sub-par. I don't expect a lot from JLA's plots, but in this book, even the romance was weak. It felt forced, unromantic, and a little non-consensual at first. The MC also didn't have as much relatable 2000s charm as some of JLA's others, which was sad. The plot and world building were unimpressive. I really wanted the full JLA YA romance kick, and did not get it. Maybe I should just read white hot kiss in stead. That one was way better. I probably won't finish this series. darjesdt
