Inside Scientology by Janet Reitman

The Ruins of Gorlan by John Flanagan (Ranger's Apprentice # 1)

Fantasy. Coming of Age.

Comfort read, God knows what number read it is.

Rating: 5/5

Summary:
Will, an orphan, grew up in the Baron's ward, and now it's time for him to pick a trade. But despite his wishes to become a knight, like he's sure his father was, Will instead is chosen to become a ranger: a spy, forester, keeper of the kingdom. Just as he begins to get to know his new master, Halt, and improve his skills as Ranger, he and Halt are called away on a dangerous mission: to hunt a dangerous creature who is trying to get revenge on those who beat their evil Lord Morgarath in the war.

Thoughts:
The skills and found family of this book are such a comfort. I'm going to slowly re-read the whole series, I think, because they feel like home, and the most comfortable escapism possible.
